Thanks to everyone who purchased an Intro to Sailing class, the response was outstanding! If you're planning on taking your class later in the year, please wait a couple of weeks before contacting us with your request. It will help us tremendously getting everyone scheduled. For those who want to get one of the first classes, once you get your voucher from LivingSocial, please fill out our Contact Form and we'll get you scheduled as soon as possible. Use the comments box to tell us your voucher number(s) and preferred dates and times (first and second choices) for the class. Groups of 4-6 can request any weekday date/time. Check our calendar for availibility and any new class dates that we've added . Parking at South Beach Harbor can be a problem, especially if there’s a Giants game, so public transportation is highly recommended. We will not be able to get harbor parking passes for these classes. Directions and parking information are available at the SBH web site ~ http://www.southbeachharbor.com/directions_drive.html. Class participants may be required to wear a USCG-approved PFD (personal flotation device) which will be provided if you don’t have one. We’ll have sunscreen, water, hat clips and croakies for your sunglasses available as well. Sailing gloves are highly recommended and can be purchased at West Marine for less than $20. Please plan on arriving at the harbor at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. We will be meeting in front of the harbormasters office between Pier 40 and AT&T park at that time and proceeding to the boat. Call our mobile number at 408-910-0095 if you need directions. Classes will start promptly at the scheduled time and we’ll be out on the water soon thereafter.
